This slow cooker fruit cobbler is a simple delicious dessert.

The only thing better than a dump-and-bake cobbler is a 3-point Slow Cooker Fruit Cobbler that you can make in your crockpot. This dessert is exactly that. Behold one of my all-time favorite crockpot dessert recipes!

This fruit cobbler recipe is the solution next time you need a delicious and easy-to-make dessert for your next potluck, BBQ, or gathering. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a wildly delicious low fat dessert that will surely please everyone.

The best part? You don’t even have to wash or prep fresh fruit. Simply use frozen fruit and let your slow cooker do the work for you. I used a triple berry blend to make a mixed berry cobbler, but you can use whatever frozen fruit you have on hand, so long as it is pre-chopped.

This dessert is perfect for small crowds since it serves nine people and only has three WW points per serving. Plus, cinnamon adds the perfect amount of spice to complement the sweet and tart fruit. And thanks to the applesauce in the batter, the cobbler is extra moist and fluffy.

I will say this easy crockpot recipe is unique. Rather than placing the frozen fruit in the crockpot and then placing the cobbler batter on top, it is cooked upside down! This is so that the cobbler mixture can be directly in contact with the slow cooker and evenly bake.

It also saves cooking time and gives an eye-catching presentation. When you open the lid, you can see the baked fruit; it will make your mouth water! Then, when scooping a portion of it, it looks just like any other cobbler.

Why You Should Try This Recipe

  • It’s hands-off. If you thought Weight Watchers recipes couldn’t be both delicious and easy to make, you’re mistaken. This berry cobbler recipe only requires about 10 minutes of prep time. Then the appliance does the rest! If you’re hosting a party, this is super convenient since you can get it going and then focus on other dishes.
  • It is a crowd-pleaser. With a fruity base that is the perfect level of sweet and tart, this frozen fruit cobbler has a nice balance of flavors and isn’t overly sweet. The cobbler dough is similar to a biscuit once it bakes. It is fluffy and bakes wonderfully! Say goodbye to soggy cobblers.
  • It’s perfect for any time of year. This easy recipe is the ultimate spring and summer dessert that everyone will love! But who’s to say you can’t enjoy it in the colder months, too? It will certainly be the perfect comforting dessert that will hit the spot on rainy days. It is extremely versatile.

Ingredients Needed for Weight Watchers Slow Cooker Fruit Cobbler

This easy crockpot dessert requires simple ingredients you can find at the store. Here is what you need to make it:

Ingredients for making berry cobbler
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (divided)
  • 1 cup + 3 tbsp low-calorie sweetener (use a cup-for-cup sugar replacement. I used monk fruit sweetener with erythritol).
  • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup fat-free milk
  • 3 tbsp I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter (Light), melted
  • 5 cups frozen fruit, thawed

How to Make WW Slow Cooker Fruit Cobbler (Step By Step)

  1. Remove the fruit from the freezer and allow it to thaw slightly while you work on the cobbler dough.
  2. Make the batter by mixing 1 ¼ cup flour, 3 tablespoons of low-calorie sweetener, and the baking powder and cinnamon.
  3. Once you mix the dry ingredients, add the applesauce, egg, butter replacement, and milk. Stir until a thick batter just barely forms.
  4. Next, toss the fruit with the remaining ¼ cup of flour and 1 cup of sweetener. Set aside.
  5. Spread the cobbler batter into the bottom of a greased 7-quart slow cooker. If you have a slow cooker of a different size, check my notes below.

6. Pour and evenly spread the fruit mixture on top of the batter.

7. Cover the slow cooker. Cook on HIGH for roughly 2 hrs – 2 hrs 15 minutes. Every slow cooker varies, so I suggest checking on it at the 1 hr 45-min mark.

Variations and Substitutions

  • It doesn’t have to be a mixed fruit cobbler. Use whichever frozen fruit you want! Whether you want to make a blueberry cobbler, blackberry cobbler, or even a classic peach cobbler. For fruits that are naturally very sweet, you can always reduce the sweetener to 3/4 cup instead of 1 cup in the fruit mixture.
  • Add other spices to the cobbler mixture, such as nutmeg, cloves, allspice, or even pumpkin pie spice.
  • Cake Mix or Bisquick cobbler: If you don’t want to make the cobbler batter from scratch, you can always use cake mix or Bisquick. Keep in mind that this will affect the dessert’s WW points. These batters might also cook differently in your slow cooker, so check on it sooner!
  • If you can’t have low-calorie sweeteners, you can use granulated sugar. However, this dessert is much higher in points when using granulated sugar, at about 10 Weight Watchers points per serving. In this case, you can always scoop yourself a smaller portion or reduce the sugar for a less sweet dessert with more tartness.
  • Make it Vegan: use almond milk and replace the 1 egg with ¼ cup of unsweetened apple sauce. You must also use the vegan version of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter.

Tips and Tricks for Making Weight Watchers Slow Cooker Fruit Cobbler

  • If you have leftover triple berry cobbler, it will keep fresh for about 5 days. Transfer it to an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator. This cobbler also holds well in the freezer for 2-3 months.
  • Avoid using frozen fruit that has freezer burn or extra ice crystals. This can make the cobbler soggy, as the flour amount in the fruit won’t be enough to thicken it.
  • Make sure to spread the cobbler mixture evenly in the bottom of the crock pot. If it is too thick in the center and thin on the edges, the center will be raw, while the edges will overcook.
  • If you have a small 3-4 qt slow cooker, you can cut the recipe in half, giving you about 4-5 servings. Keep an eye on it. I suggest checking it sooner.
  • You can keep the measurements the same for 5-6 qt slow cookers, but I suggest changing it from high to low halfway through and allowing it to cook longer so the cobbler batter thoroughly cooks but doesn’t burn on the bottom.
  • Overmixing the batter will make the cobbler biscuit portion tough or chewy. It is important to only mix it until the ingredients are combined so you don’t agitate the gluten in the flour.
