Muffins are the ultimate portable snack, a carby delight that’s perfect to wake up to, and a great way to satisfy your sweet tooth while also sneaking in some nutrients. Unfortunately, bakery-style muffins can be serious calorie bombs that will throw off your diet plans before you’ve properly enjoyed the day’s first cup of coffee. These twelve Weight Watchers muffin recipes are my seasonal go-to’s and will make you eager to jump out of bed on chilly mornings.

1. Homemade Weight Watchers Pumpkin Muffins

Snuggle into your favorite sweater and snack on fall’s favorite flavor, pumpkin, with these decadent four-point pumpkin muffins that beat anything you’re likely to find at the local bakery. Laced with vanilla and warming pumpkin pie spice, these muffins are a fun nod to festive seasonal flavors. They also have a velvety texture, thanks to unsweetened applesauce and a touch of plain almond milk, and pair heavenly with a freshly made cup of coffee.

Double chocolate espresso mini muffins

2. Double Chocolate Espresso Oatmeal Muffins

You can enjoy a sophisticated blend of chocolate and rich espresso for just three Weight Watchers points. These muffins are reminiscent of a luscious chocolate dessert, but they’re waistline-friendly enough to eat daily, making them the ultimate fall treat. Brown sugar and a hint of vanilla lend sweetness, oats give some crunch, and espresso and cocoa powder are elegant base flavors. I like to swirl in some mini chocolate chips for an extra and unexpected burst of chocolate when you bite in.

3. Weight Watchers Maple Walnut Muffins

Maple and walnut are some of fall’s lesser-sung flavors, but they’re just as delicious as any pumpkin spice creation, as these tasty three-point muffins prove. I love how the walnuts add some textural interest to the light base, and real maple extract gives each bite a warm and sugary flavor that just screams fall. Plus, they’re sophisticated enough to serve at your next brunch but kid-friendly enough to pop in the freezer and enjoy all week long. These versatile muffins are definitely on my monthly bake list.

4. Strawberry Banana Muffins

I make these muffins when I want a little taste of summer on colder winter mornings, and for two Weight Watchers points per serving, I can guiltlessly snack away. Plus, the tried-and-true combination of strawberry and banana is deeply nostalgic and transports me right back to childhood. Greek yogurt and mashed banana give them a moist and silky base texture, and chunks of bright strawberry lend some tartness that plays well with the vanilla extract and brown sugar.

5. Cinnamon Weight Watchers Muffins

These three-point muffins come with a stealthy nutritional surprise: shredded zucchini that amps up the base and gives you some extra nutrients in every bite. At three Weight Watchers points per serving, you and your family can enjoy cinnamon-laced muffins with sweet Gala apple in every bite, a touch of vanilla, and the added benefits of grated zucchini. I like to sprinkle a touch of cinnamon on the top of mine to make them even more extra.

6. Low-Calorie Blueberry Muffins

These fab blueberry muffins deliver all of the tang of antioxidant-rich blueberries with a base that’s just sweet enough but not cloying like some bakery versions. Plus, they are only two Weight Watchers points per serving and are ultra-simple to put together with ingredients that you probably already have on hand. Almond milk and Greek yogurt complement the tart frozen blueberries, giving the base its heft. These muffins also freeze well, so sometimes I make up a triple batch so that I can always have homemade goodness on hand.

7. Apple Crumble Muffins

Whenever I’m craving an apple fritter, I make a batch of these simple and slimming muffins, which will set you back a lone Weight Watchers point. With a luxe base full of warm spices like cinnamon and rich buttery brown sugar, Smucker’s caramel sauce, and a crumbly top, each bite is full of texture and flavor. I like to use Honeycrisp apples for the texture and tartness, but you can use whatever variety you have on hand.

8. Chocolate Zucchini Muffins

You won’t hardly taste the zucchini in these chocolatey four-point muffins, but your body will certainly appreciate the extra nutrients. With a winning combination of banana, applesauce, and diced zucchini, the base is packed with good-for-you foods that provide the ideal foil for miniature chocolate chips, warm brown sugar, and a touch of vanilla and honey. Pair these muffins with a cup of coffee, and you have a light, healthy, and so-tasty breakfast you can eat on the go.

Golden brown baked muffins

9. Weight Watchers Honey Muffins

I adore these muffins because they prove that the tastiest foods are usually the simplest. At four points per serving, they’re bursting with beautiful golden honey flavor that pairs perfectly with your morning latte, works well for an afternoon snack, or even can sit in for cornbread at dinner. Talk about a versatile treat! The honey is the real star here, so I like to use a local, organic variety, but you can tailor the recipe to your taste. A few drops of vanilla extract, almond milk, unsweetened apple sauce, and a bit of light butter substitute provide plenty of complimentary flavor for these gems.

10. Carrot Cake Muffins

These two-point carrot cake muffins are robust enough to keep me full all day, put a sunny spin on cold fall mornings, and still fit nicely within my Weight Watchers plan. Best of all, they’re totally reminiscent of a delicious slice of carrot cake studded with walnuts, sweet shredded carrots, and decadent brown sugar. I like to include a touch of nutmeg and a sprinkle of cinnamon for extra depth of flavor.

Kodiak Cakes with Sprinkles

11. Kodiak Cakes Muffins with Sprinkles

My kids crave these muffins on the weekend, and since they’re only two Weight Watchers points per serving, I’m happy to make them. These muffins are great for those times when you are really craving something sweet but don’t want to blow your diet with a donut or a cupcake, and since they’re made with protein-heavy Kodiak pancake mix, you can rest assured that you’ll stay full for hours to come. All you need is a bit of pancake mix, some brown sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla, and baking powder. Top it off with some colorful sprinkles, and you will have a breakfast treat that looks and tastes like a million bucks.

Coconut muffins on cooling rack

12. Coconut Muffins

Bring that tropical vibe to those frosty November days with these muffins. Each one is a beautiful beachy bite that comes in at just two Weight Watchers points per serving and is full of juicy diced pineapple and sweet shredded coconut. Quaker quick oats offset the bright flavors of tropical fruit and keep you full for the long run, and unsweetened apple sauce adds a lot of texture and depth without packing on the calories. It’s a fun way to brighten up a grey morning.

These muffins are all extremely easy to make. They come in traditional fall flavors like pumpkin and maple and some summery blends like coconut and strawberry for those days when you need a boost of Vitamin D in muffin form. I’m sure you’ll want to put some or all of these excellent Weight Watchers-friendly recipes in your regular recipe rotation.
