Bubble Up Pizza Casserole is the perfect Friday movie night dinner to enjoy with the family. It’s reminiscent of a meat lovers pizza, so it’s hearty and filling. The best part is, the whole family can enjoy it together, while you also get to stay within your Weight Watchers guidelines. One serving of Bubble up pizza casserole is 10 Weight Watchers points, and every point is well worth it with how amazing this dinner tastes. Dare I say it’s better than pizza?!
Buttery biscuits are baked right into the filling, so it’s like getting a taste of fluffy crust with every bite. I love making this in different ways, so don’t be afraid to throw in your favorite Weight Watchers friendly meats or veggie toppings. You can even change up the cheese to your preference. Different ways to change up this recipe:
- If you can’t find the 4 value pack of 7.5 oz biscuit dough, you can always buy a larger pack and just weigh out 7.5 oz of dough.
- If you use turkey pepperoni (3 points) it will change each serving to 9 Weight Watchers points.
- By using fat free chicken (0 points) instead of extra lean ground beef, and turkey pepperoni instead of regular pepperoni, each serving is 7 points instead of 10 Weight Watchers points.
- It’s optional to use fat free ground turkey or chicken to lower points.
- Add peppers and mushrooms to the meat mixture if you like those veggies. It’s also optional to leave out the onion if you’re not a fan. Make this bubble up pizza casserole your own!

I am just wondering what brand of pasta sauce you used.? When I calculated the points using ww recipe builder my points came out at 11sp not 8.
Love your recipes!!
Hi, I don’t use the WW App to calculate my recipes, products vary and I have proven it wrong on so many items, I use my fitness pal and get my nutritional info which I then input into calculator, I find with my fitness pal I can match ingredients exactly. My sauce is a “light” pasta sauce (usually meaning fewer calories/sugar etc) found in the pasta sauce aisle, I am in Canada so not sure you would find the exact brand but there should be something similar in your grocery store.. I have listed this info on my FAQ page as well.. Its your call if you want to use the WW App recipe builder just know that in some cases it may not match
Ok thank you for the clarification. Love your recipes, they are very easy and super tasty!
Am wondering if there is any way this can be done in a crockpot?
I am not sure about that one, I have never used pillsbury products in the crock pot and not sure how they would bake.. but all you could do is try and see what happens 😉 I’m curious to know lol
I used this as my guide to cooking it https://www.pillsbury.com/recipes/pepperoni-pizza-slow-cooker-bubble-up-bake/a2912915-c77c-433c-8fdd-c02c8fe22a0d and it turned out great!!! It’s probably just as easy to do it in the oven, but I currently don’t have a working oven and desperately wanted to try this recipe! We loved it!!
I’m going to try this recipe tonight! Looks so good, had to try and my hubby and daughter love pizza…so wish me luck!
I made this last night and it turned out sooo good!!! Thank you for the recipe!!! I will be making this again.

Hi Christine, I hope you all enjoyed it 🙂
Pillsbury has discontinued their biscuits. I was having trouble finding them in US do sent them an email and was told they were discontinued (bummer). Any suggest for substitution?
Yes, great value (walmart) carry the 4 pack 7.5 oz biscuits 🙂
Hi, this looks great! Wondering if the recipe would still work without the ground beef or if it is necessary for it to come out right?
You could leave it out I am sure it will still work 🙂
