Variations and Substitutions:

For those who enjoy bold flavors, consider adding generous amounts of soy sauce, oyster sauce, spice, or Thai sauce. Opt for low-sodium and sugar-free versions of these sauces.

Another delightful addition is freshly grated ginger.

While I used minced beef in this rendition for a closer nod to tradition, you can create a Weight Watchers 0-point version by omitting rice and substituting chicken for beef.

Tips and Tricks Section for Making Cabbage Rolls:

1. Use a sharp knife to cut out or reduce the main vein of the cabbage leaves, making it easier to mold the rolls.

2. To make the cabbage leaves more pliable, gently blanch them in boiling water for a few minutes. This will lightly cook them and allow you to shape them easily.

3. If needed, secure the rolls with toothpicks for steaming.4. The Instant Pot’s steamer rack is crucial for the cooking process; cabbage rolls achieve a perfect tenderness only in the Instant Pot.
