Sloppy Joe Turkey Bake

Ingredients 

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup diced green pepper
  • 1 can manwich, 398ml *sloppy joe sauce
  • 2 cups macaroni pasta *measured uncooked
  • 1 cup reduced fat shredded cheese

Instructions 

  • Preheat the oven to 350F.
  • In a frying pan cook the ground turkey over medium heat on the stove, set aside.
  • Add pasta to a pot of boiling water and cook according to the package.
  • In a large bowl mix together the cooked turkey, pasta, manwich sauce, onions and peppers. Pour out into a 9×13 casserole dish.
  • Sprinkle the cheese on top and cover with foil, bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 5 minutes.
  • Recipe makes 6 servings, each serving is 1 heaping cup.
