It's been awhile since I baked up a new loaf recipe, even in the summer months I still enjoy a freshly baked loaf out of the oven. I especially love one weekend mornings with a cup of tea 🙂 I had some fresh strawberries in the fridge to use up so say hello to this delicious strawberry banana chocolate chip loaf, just 4 smart points per serving on WW freestyle.
Strawberry banana chocolate chip loaf

- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3 medium banana's mashed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

- ½ cup diced fresh strawberries

- In a bowl whisk your eggs and mix in brown sugar. Stir in applesauce, mashed banana and vanilla.

- Fold in your diced strawberries and chocolate chips then pour batter into loaf pan.
- Bake in the oven for 43 minutes or until loaf is cooked through.

Oops missed it sorry
Drizzle
No worries 🙂

Would it be ok with just 2 bananas?
Drizzle
You might want to add in some extra applesauce to make up for the loss of wet ingredients

Is the pan you used 9”? I have an 8 and a 9 and I’m not sure which a regular one would be. Thanks.
Drizzle

Hi, many of your recipes list mini chocolate chips. I’m not sure if you mean semi sweet or milk chocolate? I can’t find mini milk morsels in the supermarket but I’ll look online if that’s what I should be using. Thanks, Susan
Drizzle
Hi Susan, I use Hershey's mini chocolate chips, they are semi-sweet
Sonia
Do you store it in the fridge after you bake it if you don't want it frozen? Or you can leave it out in a tight container?
Drizzle
always store in the fridge as the ingredients used will not allow it to sit out, no preservatives, after 2 days I will freeze

This is just what I had a taste for. I have crave chocolate the last soulless days and had a couple bananas that we’re getting over ripe, then we went strawberry picking this am. Can’t wait to taste it. (Oh, I am also doing WW, down 32 pounds so far.

Hi Nancy, way to go on the weight loss, that is fantastic!! I hope you enjoy the loaf 🙂
Angela
I made this and was delish! Great recipe
But I entered the ingredients into the recipe builder and it was only 2 points? Should I still count as 4?
Drizzle
I am so glad you enjoyed the loaf, sometimes products vary, if you entered exactly what you used and got 2 I'd go with that 🙂
