The best part? They’re surprisingly simple to make, meaning you can whip them up without missing a single play. We’re using reduced-fat Pillsbury Crescent Rolls to keep things a little lighter on the points scale (they come in at just 3 Weight Watchers each!), but don’t let that fool you – these pinwheels are bursting with rich chocolatey goodness. So ditch the complicated desserts and impress your guests with these easy-to-make, finger-licking pinwheels. They’re the perfect way to satisfy your sweet tooth and add a touch of fun to your Superbowl week celebrations!

Three reasons why you need to make this recipe!

You need just four ingredients to whip up pecan pinwheels.

I love an easy recipe, and it doesn’t get much easier than this. Unroll the dough, add the pecans and chocolate, let it bake and you’re good to go.

They’ll fill you with nostalgia.

Remember the pecan pinwheels we all used to get at a gas station during a long road trip? These are similar, but so much better! They’re fresh, for one, and absolutely scrumptious.

Pecan Pinwheels are a great addition to a healthy lunch.

If you’re like me, and love having something sweet after a meal, these are perfect. If you’re at work, they won’t leave you with an afternoon sugar crash, because there are only 5 grams of sugar in each.

Ingredients you need to make Pecan Pinwheels:

  • 1 package Pillsbury reduced fat crescent rolls
  • ¼ cup sugar free or light maple syrup
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans

How to make Pecan Pinwheels (step by step):

  1. Preheat oven to 350F, spray a baking sheet, and set aside.
  2. Lay out the crescent rolls into 2 strips of 4. Seal where the cuts are.
  3. Pour 2 tablespoons of maple syrup onto each piece.
  4. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of pecans and 1 tablespoon of chocolate chips on each piece.
  5. Roll up and pinch the ends shut. Place them in the freezer for 5-10 minutes to firm up a little, this will help when you cut them. Some of the syrup may come out and that’s ok.

  7. Bake them in the oven for approx 12 minutes, checking on them to prevent burning. Serve warm, and enjoy!
