These banana almond butter oatmeal snacks are healthy and filling, a great idea for breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up.

I have been making these delicious banana almond butter snacks for a while now, they really help me in the afternoon when I want to go and eat everything in the pantry haha. Almond butter is a great way to get some healthy fats in and mixed together with some oats it makes for a tasty snack. This Nuttin’ but spreads almond butter is my favorite one but there are so many options out there and it also might vary depending on where you live. If you prefer cashew butter or even peanut butter they will work just as well.

If you are a WW member then this might feel like a high point snack, unfortunately, any kind of nut butter is high in points which frustrates me because it is such a healthy and satisfying snack. Sometimes I need to not focus so much on the point value of something but rather on how I feel after eating it and does it fill me up and help with those cravings I might be getting to eat everything in sight! I figured since I was eating these so often and really enjoying them I’d add them to the blog, I hope you enjoy them just as much.

Ingredients used

  • Bananas
  • Almond butter
  • Oats

Topping ideas

  • Fresh fruit
  • Frozen fruit
  • Chopped nuts
  • Dried fruit
  • Chocolate chips
  • Crushed pretzels
  • Sprinkles
  • Crushed graham crackers

For the oats I use Quaker oats, quick oats will work just as well.

If you’d like you can use peanut butter, cashew butter, or any other kind of nut butter of your choosing.

You can mix the almond butter and oats up and leave it in the fridge for a few days however, I prefer to mix it as I am making them so it is easier to spread.

This tasty snack is great to serve up if you are having a small get-together with some friends. Kids will love these too, serve them up for a playdate (providing there are no nut allergies) and set out a bunch of fun toppings to let them build their own.
