Ingredients 

  • 1 cup (200g) green split peas, rinsed
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 6 cups (1.5 liters) chicken broth
  • 1 cup (150g) turkey ham, diced
  • 1 bay leaf

Instructions
