Make your Valentine’s Day even better with these adorable and delicious Weight Watchers Valentine’s Day cake pops that are 5 WW points each!
These cake pops have hints of almond, maple, and coconut. They are then coated with a scrumptious, sweet white chocolate coating that perfectly complements all of the warm flavors in the cake. Believe it or not, this is a no-bake recipe! It uses blanched almond flour instead of all-purpose flour. This gives the cake pops yummy, nutty undertones and a lovely texture that resembles a baked cake but without as much work.
Usually, cake pops can be pretty high in points. For instance, the cake pops at Starbucks can range from 8-10 points each, depending on the flavor you get. But these 5-point cake pops have much less sugar. In the cake base, we use maple syrup as the sweetener. And in the outer coating, we use no-sugar-added chocolate chips. This makes for a WW-friendly dessert. Also, if you’re looking for other sweet treats you can make to go alongside these cake pops, you can check out my dessert section for more ideas!

Ingredients in Weight Watchers Valentine’s Day Cake Pops
- 1 ½ cups Blanched almond flour
- Pinch salt
- 2 ½ tbsp Nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- ¾ tsp Coconut extract
- 3 ½ tbsp Maple syrup
- 6 oz Lily’s white chocolate chips, no added sugar
- 1 tsp Vegetable oil
- Valentine’s Day sprinkles of choice

Instructions for making Weight Watchers Valentine’s Day Cake Pops
- To prepare, arrange a cake pop stand or create one by poking small holes in styrofoam so the cake pop sticks can stand up while the chocolate coating dries.
- In a medium bowl, mix the first five ingredients together until a dough forms. If the mixture seems dry, you can add ½ tbsp more yogurt at a time until it is a consistency you can roll into a ball.
- Divide the dough into 12 even portions and roll them into balls. Stick cake pop sticks into them and place the whole tray in the freezer for about 15 minutes.

4. Before taking the cake balls out of the freezer, melt the chocolate with the oil in the microwave. Heat it in 15- to 20-second increments, stirring after each interval until the chocolate is smooth.
5. If needed, transfer the chocolate to a cup or container with tall sides to make it easier to dip. Dip each cake pop into the chocolate one by one, gently shaking the cake pop and tapping the stick on the bowl so the excess chocolate falls off.
6. After dipping them in the chocolate, dip them in your preferred sprinkles or scatter the sprinkles on. Place on the cake pop stand so it can dry without any marks or indentations. Repeat the process with every cake pop, reheating the chocolate if it begins to thicken too much.

Variations and Substitutions
- Splurge Version: If you wish, you can add mix-ins to the dough, such as sprinkles, chocolate chips, or nuts. It would also be delicious with shredded coconut since it will bring out the flavor of the coconut extract.
- Reduce the Points: To make the points less, I suggest making smaller cake pops so there is a higher yield. You can also reduce the maple syrup, but I don’t recommend lowering it too much since the Greek yogurt is tangy, and you don’t want the yogurt to be overpowering.
- Make them Vegan: You can make these vegan by using a vegan white chocolate replacement. You can also use a vegan yogurt substitute.
- Chocolate Type: Feel free to use dark chocolate or milk chocolate instead.
- Other Holidays: You can use this recipe as a base and switch out the sprinkles to make the cake pops fitting for other occasions. For example, red, white, and blue for 4th of July or red and green for Christmas.
Tips and Tricks for Making Weight Watchers Valentine’s Day Cake Pops
- To store extra cake pops, place them in an airtight container and keep them in the refrigerator. They are perishable since they have yogurt in them. Enjoy them within 3-4 days for the best taste and texture.
- When you dip the cake pops, be sure to spin the cake ball and gently tap the stick against the sides of the bowl to allow excess chocolate to drip off. This will enhance their presentation by ensuring the chocolate is smooth and even instead of having a droopy layer.
- Allow the cake pops to chill thoroughly in the freezer before dipping them in the chocolate. If they are cold, it helps the chocolate set faster.
- Apply the sprinkles right away. If you wait too long, they won’t stick to the chocolate.
- You can weigh the dough and evenly divide it or use a tablespoon measurement to help ensure that each cake ball is the same size, making the WW points accurate.
