I was craving pizza but wanted to change things up. This weight watchers friendly pizza with turkey really hit the spot.
I was inspired by my bacon cheeseburger pie to create a similar pizza pie and boy was this tasty! Using ground turkey (or chicken if you prefer) keeps the points nice and low. This meal is so simple to make and something the whole family can enjoy. I used regular pepperoni as I have never been a fan of turkey but you can change it up to suit you, you can also add in any veggies you’d like. It’s definitely a dish you can cater to you.. Makes 8 servings at just 4 smart points each on WW freestyle.
Why you want to make this weight watchers pizza pie tonight:
- This is a low-point option to replace the pizza you may already love. This easy pizza pie recipe comes in at 4 WW points, so it fits into almost everyone’s plan.
- Since this is a one pan dish, it’s easy to make and easy to clean up. You can serve it right in the dish you baked it in.
- You can make this dish from grated cheese blends and even frozen cheese, so the ingredients will always be on hand.
- I made this one with turkey, but there are endless ways to make this your own. You can find more variations at the bottom.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 package reduced fat Pillsbury crescent rolls
- 1 lb ground turkey weighed raw
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced peppers
- 1/3 cup pizza sauce
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 20 slices of pepperoni – I used regular (you can sub turkey if you wish, mine was 4SP)
- 1/2 cup reduced fat shredded mozzarella cheese
- Extra Italian seasoning topping to taste
- Feel free to swap out veggies or add in some extra
Weight Watchers Pizza Tips to Remember:
- Feel free to swap in any veggies you want.
- Most vegetables are zero points on Weight Watchers plans.
- Lean turkey is the best choice for this dish. 97/3 is a great base.
- If you reduce the amount of turkey, remember you can use the turkey in other dishes.
- Vary the size of your vegetables so you have some crunch and some softer veggies.
- This easy pizza pie will freeze incredibly well. You can freeze before baking, or afterward, whole or portioned.
Storing and re-heating
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days, and remember that WW turkey pizza pie will freeze great! To reheat the whole frozen pie, cover and reheat at 350 for 35 minutes. You can also portion it into slices before freezing and use the microwave.
Easy Turkey Pizza Pie Variations/Substitutions
- Change up the veggies – Onions and peppers are the usual veggies, and the ones I put inside this weight watchers pizza, but you can use so many different zero point veggies in this dish. A few that are good options are:
- Garlic
- Tomatoes
- Frozen stir fry blends
- Chives
- Spinach
- Leftover turkey variant – Are you wondering what to do with that leftover holiday turkey? You can substitute the cooked turkey for the ground turkey in this recipe. As long as you use turkey breast, the points should be the same as this recipe. If you use dark meat, it will add some points. The easiest way to check is just to drop it into your ww app. You can also read what weight watchers has to say about ww points in poultry here.
- Rotisserie chicken pizza –you can also substitute shredded rotisserie chicken for ground turkey. Just be certain that you remove the skin, and only use the breast meat to keep the points low.

- *Note- I am not sure how this will turn out using 2ID, I only made it as recipe states, all I can suggest is to try it.. I like 2ID (two ingredient dough, greek yogurt/self-raising flour) but I don't want to use it for everything if you get me 😉
Notes
This looks good and I will make. I usually make the pizza dough with flour and Greek yogurt. I really like that and usually have the ingredients on hand. I also have the turkey pepperoni.
What are you referring to when you say 21D!
exactly what you mentioned haha two ingredient dough
Looks great! What is 2ID?
two ingredient dough
I made it tonight with 2 ingredient dough (3/4 cup) and turkey pepperoni and zero point marinara. 4 pts for 1/4. So good!
Thanks for the tip 🙂 so glad you enjoyed it
what is 2 ID?

Yes, I was wondering the same thing… what’s 2ID?
two ingredient dough
Good evening! I used the 2 ingredient dough tonight to make this and it turned out well! I prebaked the crust in the dish for about ten minutes until the top started to brown slightly. Very tasty! Thank you!
Hi Kaitlin, so glad you enjoyed it and that it turned out well with the 2ID 🙂 thanks for sharing
What type of ground turkey did you use? 99% fat free?
I buy what I kind find, and I don’t typically stress on the points as far as if it is 99% or not, 99% is not always available to me… my saying is 95% ground turkey is not why I need WW haha
I made this last night. Very tasty. The look of the crust was a bit comical but it was good. The idea I had for it is to have a slice at lunch time over the week with my coffee. I’m in a job where I have to meal prep (which I don’t always do) and I find my weight loss is much better when I eat lunch and not try to get all my calories in at supper time. I like a lot of your recipes. Some of them are different than what’s out there. Thanks!
HI Maureen, I am so glad you enjoyed the pizza pie and I hope you continue to enjoy the recipes 🙂
This was really tasty! We made a little marinara for the side since it wasn’t as saucy as we like, also I did not stretch the crust properly so it wasnt big enough to fit the whole pound of meat but now we have leftovers for something else – really liked this, excited to try it again or a variation!
I’m so glad you enjoyed it Claire 🙂
