The Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito from Taco Bell is a delicious and indulgent treat. It’s filled with crispy red tortilla strips, shredded lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, Avocado Ranch sauce, and Creamy Chipotle sauce wrapped up in a warm flour tortilla.

The original recipe is definitely not healthy, with a single burrito containing 510 calories and 29 grams of fat. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this burrito on a healthy diet. With a few simple substitutions, you can create a healthier version of this burrito that still tastes amazing.

One way to make this burrito healthier is to use a lower-calorie ranch dressing. You can also use a lower-fat cheese, such as mozzarella low fat. And instead of the crispy red tortilla strips, you can use purple cabbage. Another way to make this burrito healthier is to add more vegetables. Lettuce, tomatoes, and even a little avocado.

With a few simple substitutions, you can create a healthier version of the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito that still tastes amazing. So next time you’re craving this burrito, don’t be afraid to give it a healthier makeover.

Easy Homemade Light Chipotle Sauce

To make the Chipotle sauce, mix 1 cup of non-fat Greek yogurt and 2 tablespoons of milk in a bowl. Add 1 teaspoon of dried parsley, 1 teaspoon of dried chives, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, 1 teaspoon of sea salt, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and ½ teaspoon of chipotle powder. Mix everything until smooth and well combined. Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less chipotle powder to suit your preference. Refrigerate the sauce for at least 30 minutes before using to allow the flavors to meld. The Chipotle sauce can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Variations and substitutions

· Beef Variation: Instead of chicken, you can use beef. Opt for tender cuts like sirloin or steak, and grill or sauté the beef to your liking. Add the beef instead of chicken in the burrito and follow the rest of the recipe steps.

· More Chipotle Sauce: If you love the spicy flavor of chipotle, you can add more chipotle powder or even use chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. Add an extra teaspoon of chipotle powder to the ranch sauce or include some chopped chipotle peppers to increase the heat and smoky flavor.

· Black Beans: To add an extra touch of flavor and texture, you can include refried black beans in the burrito. Spread them over the rice and other ingredients before rolling up the burrito. Black beans add creaminess and additional nutrients to the dish.

· Add Extra Vegetables: If you enjoy a wider variety of flavors and textures, you can add more vegetables to your burrito. Include roasted peppers, caramelized onions, corn, spinach, or any other vegetables of your choice. Sauté or grill the vegetables before adding them to the burrito to enhance their flavors.

Tips and Tricks Section for Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burrito

1.  Generously season the raw chicken: Before cooking the chicken, marinate it with a generous amount of taco seasoning. This will infuse the chicken with bold flavors and enhance the overall taste of the burrito.

2.  Toast the burritos for added texture: After assembling the burritos, consider toasting them for a crispy texture. You can grill them on a stovetop grill pan, use a grill, bake them in the oven, or even try an air fryer for a healthier alternative. Toasting the burritos will also help seal them and add a satisfying crunch to each bite.

3.  Serve the burritos warm: Enjoy the Chipotle Ranch Grilled Chicken Burritos while they are still warm. The heat brings out the flavors and adds an extra level of comfort to the dish.

4.  Serve with extra sauce and chicken pieces: For an extra boost of flavor, serve the burritos with additional grilled chicken strips and extra chipotle ranch sauce on the side. This allows you to customize each bite with more chicken and sauce according to your preference.
