Famous for its emporium of food, Costco is a popular place for grocery shopping needs. A grocery store with a built-in food court and snack samples may not sound like the ideal place to get Weight Watchers approved snacks, but as always, Costco is full of surprises.
Costco’s subsidiary Kirkland Signature has many Weight Watchers friendly snacks under their name and the store is home to plenty of popular snacks, both savory and sweet. Below are 8 Costco snacks, all of which are worth less than 5 Weight Watchers points.
Kirkland Signature Protein Bars – 4 WW Points Per Bar
Part tasty snack and part exercise fuel, Kirkland Signature’s Protein Bars are a great snack choice before a morning run or a workout. You can also just enjoy them as an on-the-go breakfast or a late night snack.
Since the Kirkland Signature brand is owned by Costco, a lot of their products are sold exclusively at Costco warehouses and nowhere else. Other than maybe ordering them online from Costco, these protein bars are a must-grab when visiting Costco for your snacking needs.
Skinny Pop Popcorn – 2 WW Points Per Bag
These individually packaged popcorn bags made our list for late night snacks and are once again making an appearance here. Not only are these popcorn bags worth just 2 points per bag, but they often come in party packs so you can easily stock up on this great snack.
Skinny Pop Popcorn is available in multiple grocery store chains, including Costco. Its popularity makes it readily available, including via online ordering. Be sure to get the right size as the 2 points are calculated specifically for the 0.65 oz bags.
Chobani Plain Nonfat Greek Yogurt – 0 WW Points Per Cup
Low-fat and nonfat yogurt is one of the best snack options when it comes to low points. Depending on the brand, yogurt can be worth as little as 0 points. There are several good yogurt options out there, but due to its widespread availability, Chobani is one of the best options.
Chobani itself has many different types and flavors of yogurt available but their nonfat Greek yogurt is a cut above the rest. It’s delicious, good for you, and worth 0 points. Plus, you can easily add toppings like fruit or sugar-free syrup to it without adding more points to your snack.
Laughing Cow Lite Cheese Wedges – 1 WW Point Per Wedge
Conveniently packaged as a wheel of multiple cheese wedges, Laughing Cow’s cheeses are the perfect bite sized snack. Although they have several flavors available, their lite cheese wedges are the ones to look out for.
Each wheel of Laughing Cow lite cheese has 8 wedges in it. An individual lite cheese wedge is worth only 1 point. You can pair it with a low-point cracker option or just go for two wedges in one sitting if you can afford the points.
Good Thins The Corn One Sea Salt – 3 WW Points Per 41 Pieces
When it comes to snacking, Good Thins The Corn One nets the most bang for its buck, or in this case Weight Watchers points. These thins will only cost you 3 points for every 41 pieces consumed. On top of that, they’re also gluten-free.
This snack is easy to find at multiple grocery chains, as well as online from places like Amazon, so it’s not necessarily a Costco exclusive like the Kirkland Signature snacks. However, it’s still a super convenient snack option worth grabbing the next time you’re at Costco.
Stauffer’s Original Animal Crackers – 4 WW Points Per 16 Pieces
Originally invented in the mid 1800’s, Animal Crackers have been a popular snack choice for kids and adults alike for over a century and with good reason. Not only are the crackers tasty and available in a variety of fun animal shapes, but they are worth only 4 points for every 16 crackers consumed.
Although Animal Crackers can be easily found at most major grocery store chains around the country, we’ve included it in this list due to its availability in Costco stores. You can easily throw these crackers onto your Costco shopping list during your next visit.
Kirkland Signature Organic Tortilla Chips – 4 WW Points Per 14 Chips
For all your salty cravings, Kirkland Signature once again saves the day. The Costco brand has plenty of great low point snacks to its name but one of the best is their delectably crunchy and salty organic tortilla chips.
With only 4 points for every 14 chips consumed, these tortilla chips make for a great snack during movie night or as part of your lunch at work. Since the brand is part of Costco itself, these chips are always available at Costco stores so you won’t have to worry about not being able to find it.
Veggies Made Great Chocolate Raspberry Muffins – 3 WW Points Per Muffin
We’re finishing this list with something a little off the beaten path. These rich, sweet, and moist chocolate raspberry muffins are shockingly made using veggies with the first ingredient being zucchinis. Sounds unusual but this is part of what makes these muffins so good for you.
An individual muffin is worth 3 points. This brand is known for being nut and gluten free, as well as low in fat, calories, sugar, and fat. As if they couldn’t get any better, they’re also keto friendly
