Pull-apart monkey bread gets a strawberry chocolate upgrade in this showstopper of a dessert that’s as fun to eat as it is to look at. Soft pillowy dough pieces coated in chocolate and nestled with fresh strawberries, baked into a bubbling, shareable pie that everyone tears into together. It’s the kind of dessert that creates happy chaos at the table and disappears within minutes. Serve it for brunch, a casual dinner party dessert, or a Sunday treat that makes the whole house smell amazing.
- Swap: Use a can of refrigerated biscuit dough cut into quarters as a quick shortcut that bakes up just as soft and pillowy.
- Make-ahead: Assemble the monkey bread the night before and refrigerate; bake fresh in the morning for the best pull-apart texture.
- Storage: Cover and store at room temperature for 1 day or refrigerate for up to 2 days; warm before serving.
- Variation: Use Nutella instead of melted chocolate for coating the dough pieces — it adds a hazelnut richness that’s fantastic with strawberry.
- Serving: Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with a side of strawberry dipping sauce or whipped cream.
Another delicious dish thanks to pillsbury! This Strawberry chocolate pie is the perfect breakfast treat that the whole family will love. It is so easy to make, very similar to my mixed berry one. Makes 4 nice large servings at 7 smart points each, or you can cut it into smaller pieces for less points.. but who wants to do that!! 😉

Is the sugar jam just strawberry jam?
Yes any less sugar berry type jam is fine but Strawberry is ideal ๐
Have you tried with other fruit, apples?
Was hoping to make this but donโt know where to find the right biscuit dough? Does Canada sell something along the same lines I could use? Iโd rather not drive to the states this time of year hahaha!
