Bite into one of these Nutella filled donut bites and you get a warm pocket of hazelnut chocolate that makes the whole thing feel like a special occasion. These little poppable bites are baked, not fried, and come together surprisingly quickly — the hardest part is waiting for them to cool before eating. They’re perfect for holiday cookie trays, brunch spreads, or just a weekend treat that makes everyone in the house very happy. Fair warning: one is never enough.

  • Swap: Use any chocolate hazelnut spread or substitute with peanut butter for a different but equally delicious filling.
  • Make-ahead: Bake the donut bites and freeze unfilled for up to 1 month; warm and fill with Nutella just before serving.
  • Storage: Store filled bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; best eaten the day of baking.
  • Variation: Roll finished bites in cinnamon sugar instead of powdered sugar for a churro-inspired twist.
  • Serving: Arrange on a platter dusted with powdered sugar alongside a small bowl of extra Nutella for extra dunking.

My theory stands strong that a little goes a long way… and sometimes just having a little nutella in your life is all it takes! 🙂 When we see these decadent chocolate treats, bursting with nutella our hearts flutter a little… and then sadness takes over when we realize there is just no way we can eat that..and not have a gain this week. 😉 Well I am all about compromises.. and finding ways to have our cake and eat it too! These little nutella filled donut bites are the perfect decadent guilt free treat, costing you only 2 smart points. 🙂
