Bacon wrapped pork tenderloin is one of my favorite things to grill up on the barbecue! The bacon cooked on it gives it the most delicious flavor.. but you can always add more flavor, so out came the brown sugar and maple syrup! This is so easy to make and the end result is the most delicious tasting piece of pork tenderloin. 🙂

Maple & brown sugar bacon wrapped pork tenderloin

By: Drizzle
Servings: 2 -3
Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 25 minutes
Total: 30 minutes
3sp or 3pp per 2oz

Ingredients

  • 1 pork tenderloin, depending on how many your feeding feel free to cook more than 1
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp light maple syrup
  • 8-10 slices low point bacon, I use Oscar Mayer center cut (2 slices is 1pp)

Instructions

  • Heat up your barbecue to medium heat.
  • In a small bowl mix your brown sugar and syrup stirring well.
  • Use a pastry brush and brush half of your syrup mix all over the tenderloin.
  • Starting from one end wrap your uncooked bacon pieces around the pork as tightly as you can, trying to have the ends all on the bottom.
  • Cover bacon in the remaining syrup mixture.
  • Cook on your barbecue, turning often til bacon is cooked well, approx. 20-25 minutes, 2 ounces of pork is 3sp or 3pp (although the pork is lower in SP the sugar and syrup adds more SP to it and that is why it is the same in either SP or PP)

    1. Have not converted yet but my guess is it will go up to either 4-5sp per serving (from 3pp) because the bacon went from 2 slices for 1pp to 1sp each (although I heard Target brand stayed 2 slices for 1sp) and then of coarse the sugar and syrup increased in points.. i will try to get to it soon, just trying to get the App recipes updated 🙂

I made this tonight! it was delicious! actually I have made several of your recipes and my husband has loved every single one!! The only thing I found was this needed to cook way longer than 20-25 minutes. It could have been the pork loin I went with may have been bigger. but this meal was worth the wait!! absolutely delicious!! keep the recipes coming!!

    1. Hi Allison, so glad your both enjoying the recipes, I love the bacon wrapped pork loin, I mean you can wrap anything in bacon and I’ll eat it lol.. Yeah your pork might of been bigger, but glad you enjoyed it 🙂
