This caramel apple loaf is everything great about fall baking packed into a single, sliceable loaf. Warm spices, tender chunks of apple, and ribbons of caramel woven through a soft, moist crumb — it’s the kind of bake that makes your kitchen smell absolutely incredible and tastes even better. Whether you serve it warm for breakfast, bring it to work, or slice it as a dessert with a little extra caramel drizzle on top, this loaf fits every occasion from October through the end of the year.
- Swap: Use unsweetened applesauce to replace half the oil for a lighter crumb that still stays beautifully moist.
- Make-ahead: Bake and cool completely, then wrap tightly; the flavor improves significantly on day two as the caramel settles.
- Storage: Store wrapped at room temperature for 3 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week; freeze slices for up to 2 months.
- Variation: Fold in a handful of chopped walnuts or pecans for added crunch and a nutty counterpoint to the sweet caramel.
- Serving: Serve warm slices with a drizzle of extra caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla frozen yogurt for a simple dessert.

How do you think it would be without the Carmel sauce? Don’t have any on hand. And does it reduce the points not using it?
Hi Melissa, I think it will still be a yummy apple loaf without, I doubt the points would change, the sauce does not add many..
