These apple cinnamon sugar crisps are the lightest, crunchiest little snack — thinly sliced apples baked low and slow until they turn into perfectly crisp chips dusted with cinnamon sugar. They’re naturally sweet, satisfying to snack on, and make the whole house smell like apple pie while they bake. Kids love them, they’re a great alternative to store-bought chips, and they take about two minutes of actual hands-on time. Make them on a Sunday afternoon and you’ll have a snack that disappears before the week is half over.
- Swap: Any apple variety works — tart Granny Smith or sweet Honeycrisp both make great crisps with slightly different flavor profiles.
- Make-ahead: These are best made the day of eating, but store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- Storage: Keep in a container with the lid slightly open to maintain crispness — airtight containers can cause slight softening.
- Variation: Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom to the cinnamon sugar for a warm, spiced variation.
- Serving: Serve alongside a small bowl of caramel dip, peanut butter, or vanilla yogurt for dipping.
It seems I’m on a bit of a cinnamon sugar mission lately.. but it’s all good.. anything cinnamon sugar has got to be yummy right?? 😉 I had some wonton wrappers that needed to be used up, so I thought hey… I’ll make some crisps.. These were so easy, and definitely hit the spot if your in need of a sweet crunch! And at only 1 smart point each… That’s my kind of sweet crunch. 🙂
Apple cinnamon sugar crisps

Ingredients
- Wonton wrappers
- Unsweetened apple sauce, about 1Tbsp
- 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
- 1/2 Tbsp white sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Instructions
-
Preheat oven to 350F, spray a large baking sheet and lay your wonton wrappers on it.
-
Using a pastry brush, brush the apple sauce on to the wontons.
-
Mix your sugars and cinnamon in a bag. Sprinkle it on top of your wontons ( you should have enough to cover 10-12 wontons.)
-
Bake in oven for approx 6-8 minutes, turn your baking sheet around after 5 minutes so the back ones do not burn.

I love your recipe ideas and I love that they are quite low in Smartpoints. So, just like the cinnamon blueberry muffins (I commented you about), I made these as well… Delicious! Definitely worth the 1 sp each. Think there are a lot more nice recipes on your website I will try the coming weeks! You’re inspirational ๐
Thanks Ramona.. Hope you continue to enjoy the recipes ๐
These were tasty and I loved that I could do just a few in my toaster oven so that I don’t overdo eating them. Yum!
Yay, yes that is what I love about them, you can do as few or as many as you need, so glad you enjoyed them!
