I love a warm fresh slice of loaf right out of the oven, and this blueberry loaf does not disappoint! Its packed with berries so it’s not dry and you won’t feel the need to smother it with butter..The slices are nice and large and one piece at 4 freestyle smart points will leave you feeling satisfied.. enjoy! 🙂



Blueberry loaf

4 freestyle SP 5SP/3PP per slice

  • 1.5 cups white flour
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 t baking powder
  • 1/2 cup almond milk I use vanilla unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 t vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups fresh blueberries


  • Preheat oven to 350F and spray a large loaf pan with cooking spray, set aside.
  • Mix dry ingredients together and then add wet, very gently fold in blueberries.
  • Bake for 45-50 minutes, let cool then cut into 10 slices. 4 freestyle sp, 5sp or 3pp per slice

    sounds yummy! Can we use frozen blueberries? If so, thaw first or use frozen?

      I think frozen would be ok and I would just put them in batter frozen 🙂

  2. Can this be made into muffins and if so, what would be baking time? My family loved this but prefers muffins! ( They also like lemon, but not bananas, if you could add lemon/glaze to this?!)

  3. Easy to make and very tasty. Seems healthy, but I did need a little more sweetness. I ate it once with a little whipped cream, next time with a bit of lemon ice cream. Perfect! Only change I made was substituting some brown sugar for about a third of the white sugar.
