- 1 6+ quart Instant Pot 
- 1 Pair of tongs 
- 2 lbs beef ribs
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp BBQ spice rub
- BBQ sauce of your choice
- Rub the short ribs generously with your spice rub. 
- Press Saute to preheat the instant pot, then add the oil. 
- When oil is hot, sear the ribs in small batches for about 5 to 8 minutes, do not over crowd in order to properly distribute the heat. 
- Remove the meat with tongs. 
- Add the beef broth into the Instant Pot then place the trivet inside and place the meat on top and lock the lid. 
- Cook on high pressure for 50 minutes. 
- Use the natural steam release before carefully opening the lid. 
- Use tongs to move ribs to a plate and coat in BBQ sauce. 
- Cover with foil to keep warm and rest for 10 minutes.
