Ingredients

  • 2 cups ground turkey approximately 450 g.
  • 1/3 cup Panko breadcrumbs approximately 30 g.
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Begin by preheating your air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes. This step ensures even cooking and a nicely seared exterior for your turkey burgers.
  • Prepare the Burger Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, Panko breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, dried oregano, and olive oil. Mix the ingredients gently but thoroughly to evenly distribute the seasonings and breadcrumbs.
  • Shape the Patties: Divide the turkey mixture into four equal portions. With clean hands, gently form each portion into a burger patty, making sure not to overwork the meat. You can use a burger press or simply shape them by hand. Aim for patties that are about 1/2-inch thick.
  • Air Fry the Burgers: Carefully place the turkey burger patties in the preheated air fryer basket. Make sure they are not overcrowded, and you may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is small. Cook the burgers at 375°F (190°C) for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and have a nicely browned exterior. Adjust the cooking time as needed depending on your air fryer's specific settings.
  • Serve and Enjoy: Once the turkey burgers are cooked to perfection, remove them from the air fryer. Allow them to rest for a couple of minutes. Then, serve them on your favorite burger buns with your preferred toppings, such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and condiments.
  • Optional Sides: Pair your air-fried turkey burgers with a side salad, coleslaw, or sweet potato fries for a complete and delicious meal.
