1 7.5ozpackage of biscuit doughI use great value from Walmart, there are 10 small biscuits in the roll and they come in 4 packs, one pack weighs 7.5oz
2garlic clovesdiced
½cupchopped onionsI used red onion
2cupsreduced fat pasta sauce
¼cupreduced sugar ketchup
1.5tablespoonworcestershire sauce
1tablespoonbrown sugar
½tablespoonmustard
2teaspoonchili powder
2teaspoonitalian seasoning
½cupreduced fat mozzarella cheeseI used Trader Joe's
Instructions
In a large pan, brown the ground chicken. Since the chicken is fat-free, I recommended spraying the skillet with nonstick cooking spray to help it cook well. Add in the garlic and onions once the chicken is cooked through.
Stir in the pasta sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, sugar, and seasonings. Let it simmer on low for 5 minutes.
Spray a large 9x13 casserole dish with some nonstick cooking spray and preheat the oven to 350F.
Cut the 10 small biscuits into 6 pieces for each biscuit. Slowly stir them into the chicken and sauce mixture, then pour the entire thing into the casserole dish. Be sure to spread out the biscuits in your dish so you don't have too much in one area.
Bake it in the oven for 30 minutes. Remove it from the oven, sprinkle with cheese, and return to oven for an additional 12 minutes.
Makes 6 servings. Enjoy!
