Air Fryer Frittata

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup skim milk 60 ml
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell pepper 75 g
  • 1/2 cup diced smoked low-fat turkey ham 75 g
  • 1/4 cup shredded low-fat cheddar cheese 30 g
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 1.5 g
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 g

Instructions

  • Prepare the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes. Line the basket with a reusable air fryer liner or parchment paper. Cut two squares of parchment paper and layer them for extra support. This will prevent sticking and make it easier to lift the frittata out after cooking.
  • Mix the eggs: In a medium-sized bowl, crack the eggs and whisk them thoroughly until the yolks and whites are fully combined. Add the skim milk to the eggs and whisk again.
  • Prepare the filling: Dice the red bell pepper into small, even-sized pieces. Do the same with the smoked turkey ham. Add the diced bell pepper, turkey ham, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper to the egg mixture. Stir everything together to ensure the ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Pour the mixture into the air fryer: Carefully pour the mixture into the lined air fryer basket. Spread it out evenly with a spatula, ensuring the filling is distributed throughout.
  • Cook the frittata: Set the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 15 minutes. Check at the 12-minute mark by inserting a toothpick into the center; if it comes out clean, the frittata is ready. If not, cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  • Cool and serve: Allow the frittata to cool in the air fryer basket for 3–5 minutes. This will make it easier to handle and allow the flavors to settle. Using the parchment paper, carefully lift the frittata out of the basket and place it on a cutting board. Slice into four equal portions.
