Anchovy Pizza
Made with a wholemeal base, this Anchovy Pizza recipe is loaded with salty anchovy flavor, a tangy base and plenty of low-fat cream cheese, making it a perfect dinner.

Servings: 8 people
- 1 cup Water, lukewarm
- 3 grams (or 2/3 teaspoon) Yeast, instant
- 1 tsp Sugar, white
- 200 grams (or 3/4 heaping cup) Flour, whole wheat
- 120 grams (or 1/2 cup) Flour, all purpose
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1/3 cup tomato paste
- 80 grams Anchovy fillets
- 1/3 cup Cream cheese, light
- 1/4 cup Cheese, cheddar
In a large bowl, stir the warm water, sugar and yeast together. Leave to stand 10 minutes until frothy.
Mix in both flours, olive oil and a good sprinkle of salt. Dough will be shaggy. Bring together with your hands and knead a few times.
Press into a rough ball and place in an oiled bowl for 20 minutes to rise.
Preheat oven to 390F/200F and dust a pizza tray with cornmeal or flour. Press the dough into a round disk and place on pizza tray. Spread on tomato paste.
Add a sprinkle of grated cheddar cheese, anchovy filets, and dollops of cream cheese.
Bake 15-18 minutes until base is cooked to your liking.
