Hi friends… you might have heard or seen some talk today about Weight Watchers and a new approach they are taking… First things first, before anyone panics, the program itself, WW freestyle as we know, is not changing, the way we count our points and track foods will all remain the same.

Weight Watchers are stepping away with the full name and simply going with WW. They want WW to reflect that they are becoming the world’s partner in wellness. WW will be welcoming anyone who wants to build healthy habits, not restricted to just weight loss, but with eating better, moving more and developing a positive mindset. In the coming weeks and months, you will see all these new developments.

I have been told (and allowed to mention) that sometime in October our WW apps will update to reflect on these new changes, I think to allow us to focus on other positive habits and not just tracking our food.

We will also be introduced to WellnessWins™, a one-of-a-kind rewards program that recognizes and inspires members at every step of their wellness journey. Members will earn “Wins” for their healthy habits, then redeem them for exclusive products and experiences. Delivered to their door, for free. I love this idea, I mean who doesn’t like free things and I think it will help motivate members to work on overall healthy habits.

I was also very happy to see that WW will be removing artificial sweeteners, coloring, flavoring, and preservatives from all of their food products that carry the WW brand. This is due to take place by January 2019.

You can follow this link to learn more about the upcoming new & fresh changes that I am looking forward to!

  1. If you really had any interest in helping people, you’d lower your prices! Put your money where your mouth is

You might want to voice that to WW, I have nothing to do with the prices.. I’m just a food blogger lol 😉

  2. I read something about this in and email from Team WW and the CEO, Mindy. I think this is a fresh approach and I find it really cool that the “WW” fits in in so many new ways… “WellnessWins” and “Wellness That Works”. I’m excited to see where this takes us!

  3. Looking forward to the new changes. I have always believed in Weight Watchers. The fact that I fell “off the wagon” numerous times, is my fault, definitely not theirs. I know the program works and since I have started with the new program, a year ago, I am down 44 pounds and 11 away from goal. This has been a truly enjoyable journey. I have not had to “sacrifice” any of the things I enjoy. The new friends I have made in the weekly meetings have been such an encouragement to me and the support I get is amazing. WW keep up the good work and Drizzle – absolutely love every one of your receipes.
