Banana chocolate chip muffins

November 10, 2014

I love a good muffin, I use to eat the high fat store bought ones all the time. However with this lifestyle change I now prefer a low fat, low point muffin any day over one of those insanely high point ones! My daughter requested banana chocolate chip muffins one day and who am I to disappoint.  These are 5 smart points each and are nice big muffins.

Hi, I just updated them.. 5 smart points each, although I lowered the sugar from 1/3 cup to 1/4 cup.. (at 1/3 cup they were 6sp) Glad you enjoyed them! 🙂

Do you know how many points they would be, if you substitute splenda for sugar and egg beaters for the egg? I just made some that way, and made them in the mini muffin tin. They are delicious.

Just made these for my son’s visit tomorrow. Haven’t tried yet but they smell delicious. Is the 5 SP the same as the freestyle SP on the current weight watcher’s plan? Also, do these need to be stored in the fridge?

Hi Joanne, yes best stored in the fridge due to ingredients used, and yes freestyle is the same, hope you enjoy them 🙂

1/3 cup is 14SP so I would think that would lower them a point each muffin
