Tips and Tricks for Making Apple Crumb Donut:

  • You could even shred the apple rather than dicing it. You just want really tiny pieces so it cooks evenly.
  • For best results do not drizzle with caramel until you are ready to serve.
  • These are best if you store them in the fridge after the first day. They’ll last for 5 days.

  1. Just tried these and they’re really good! Good amount of crumble on top and not dry or anything like some low fat baked goods can be. Great recipe – especially for the low points! Will be making again.

  2. Totally just ordered pans and am making these for my “framily” at our camper this weekend. THANK YOU! Next do you have a pumpkin donut recipe!?!?!

    1. Ya for donuts pans 🙂 hope you enjoy them, I do have a donut recipe on my drizzle me sweet App (I also have drizzle me skinny app) and I will add one over the next month on my blog for sure 🙂

  3. This is my favorite WW recipe by far! I’m only calculating 1 freestyle point each. Didn’t add nutritional value of apples or egg whites since they are free and subbed milk for carbmaster milk which is lower in calories. I’m getting 30 calories and 1 WW point. Am I doing this right?

  4. I’m getting 1 freestyle point as well. Please let me know how you are doing your calculations.

    1. flour 8, brown sugar 2, milk 1, CRUMBLE- sugar 3, margarine 1, caramel 2 total 17SP divide by 6.. 3 points each

      1. Hello, can I use the Swerve sugar to lower the points? Also can I use unsweetened almond milk instead of 1% milk? I’m waiting for my donut pan to arrive so I can make these! Thank you.

        1. HI, sure can 🙂 just maybe build the recipe in the WW app to get the correct point value 🙂

  5. If I don’t have the donut pan and I am determined to make these tomorrow, is there another pan that you think can produce similar results just different shape? Thanks!

  6. We cannot buy most caramel sauces due to nut allergy and cross contamination. Is there a way I can make a caramel sauce that wouldn’t add too many points? or maybe a dark chocolate drizzle?

    1. Hi, maybe try Pinterest for a caramel sauce recipe, I have never tried making one, I’m not sure how easy it would be to make it low points.. chocolate drizzle you can definitely do, use some Lindt dark chocolate squares and melt down

  7. I just made these and although they are very tasty I am wondering how you got 6 full size donuts- I used a 12 hole mini donut tray, did not overfill and only got 7 donuts from the recipe. I will make them again though keeping this in mind.

    1. Hi Kathleen, glad you enjoyed them.. I always use a 6 hole Wilton donut pan and never have any issues getting 6

  8. Look good… don’t have liquid egg whites…. can I substitute one regular egg for it. Thank you
